PRIVACY POLICY

Legal Confidence — A Private Member Association

1. Introduction

Legal Confidence ("the Association," "we," "us," "our") operates LegalConfidence.org (the "Site") as a Private Member Association offering educational content, workshops, and member(s) programs for private, educational purposes only. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors and member(s), how we use it, and the choices available to you.

This Policy applies to anyone who visits the Site, submits an application, books a call, attends a workshop, or joins the Association as a member — regardless of member(s) status.

2. Information We Collect

- Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address submitted through our Apply form, workshop registration, or member(s) sign-up.

- Application/Intake Information: Details you voluntarily share to help us assess fit for a consultation, workshop, or member(s) program (e.g., your interest in trusts, real estate holdings, or general circumstances).

- Member(s) Records: Records related to your status, rank, or participation within the Association (e.g., Legal Scouts badges, workshop attendance).

- Payment Information: Processed securely through our third-party payment processor for workshops, Trustcations, or member(s) dues. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.

- Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies or similar technologies.

- Communications: Emails, call notes, or messages exchanged with our team or committee.

3. How We Use Your Information

- Respond to applications and schedule fit calls

- Administer workshops, Trustcations, and Legal Scouts member(s) programs

- Maintain member records and badge/rank progress

- Send educational content and updates (opt-out available anytime)

- Process payments and registrations

- Address grievances or disputes per our Member Agreement's committee/tribunal process

- Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies primarily to track referrals — that is, to identify how visitors and member(s) find the Site (e.g., through a workshop attendee, speaking engagement, or partner link). We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party ad targeting. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

- Service providers supporting payment processing, hosting, or email communications, bound by confidentiality obligations

- The Association's committee or tribunal, where relevant to resolving a member grievance under the Member Agreement

- Legal requirements, only where disclosure is compelled by valid legal process

- Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above, maintain member(s) records, and comply with legal obligations.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may:

- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information

- Opt out of marketing communications at any time

- Withdraw from member(s) status at any time, consistent with the terms of the Member Agreement

To exercise these rights, contact coach@legalconfidence.org.

9. Relationship to the Member Agreement

This Privacy Policy works alongside, and does not replace, the Association's Member Agreement. Where the Member Agreement addresses dispute resolution, member(s) status, or the Association's private structure, those terms control for member(s) matters; this Policy governs how personal data is handled.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites (including affiliate or partner platforms). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site and Association programs are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. The Effective Date above reflects the most recent revision.
